The taste is such I won't be able to take any. I bought capsules again instead. I am used to supplements and powders not being the best, I take a ton every day, but L-Ornithine is...out of this world bitter and...ack, idek what to call it. I just can't eat or drink the stuff. Thought I'd warn people. I should have paid more attention before purchasing.✨?✨????? Best sleep of our lives‼️ Everyone I know is taking this now & improving the quality of their sleep so substantially ...& now so are we‼️?It’s non-drowsy so I take a dose in the morning & one in the evening or just before bed, whatever’s more convenient. My sleep is sound, and deeper than ever. Some sleep aids or melatonin with magnesium leave me groggy in the morning or so dead to the world at night that I couldn’t wake up for a fire alarm. With this I wake refreshed and I feel amazing in the mornings?❣️‼️❣️?The jury is out on TASTE. It’s not really all that flavorful, nor is not over powering in any way when mixed in distilled water to me. Some of our family members think it’s a bit salty, some say it’s a little sweet, I think it tastes like REALLY flat water, one close friend hates it and couldn’t describe why, my husband says it’s plain and another close friend friend says it’s like you added a touch of baking soda to his water. Either way it’s very easy to flavor around if you were trying to hide it but maybe I feel that way because my body needs it, and so I don’t mind the flat flavor??????????? The results are so amazing that everyone we’ve exposed this to say they no longer need to take sleep aids, or a bedtime: magnesium, melatonin or their Rx’s like ambien to sleep anymore.???How did we not know about this amino acid before now?!?!?!? How does the world not know this is a much safer option‼️‼️‼️***To be clear: We’re not affiliated with any seller. No kick back or hook up was given to write this. L-Ornithine really has been so amazing, that taking the time to change someone else’s life through quality sleep was worth writing ten reviews. I’m grateful to the many others who wrote their reviews as I consider them while researching everything I put in my body before I purchase.I've been taking an L-Ornithene supplement for many years, in capsule form. Probably thirty years ago, as an avid gym rat and exercise fanatic, I read about and came to believe that the combination of L-Ornithine and L-Arginine amino acids were excellent for protein synthesis and natural release of HGh. So I've taken the two supplements pre and post workout and before sleep. This is my first experience with bulk supplements, both the concept and the company. The quantity seems to be a very good value, better than capsules, and the shipping is fast and the product is fresh and seems pure. The taste gets some getting used to. Added to a protein shake or smoothie, most of which are flavored with sucralose or stevia or other masks the supplement taste pretty well. The L-Ornithine taste is fairly neutral, I could mix that in water or juice if needed, but the Arginine (Base) has a strong fish flavor and is hard to get last the nose and taste buds. bulk Supplements sent me a free package of the L-Arginine for review and I appreciate that, and have since purchased L-Arginine AAKG from them. The taste of the AAKG is a little less bitter fish and more bitter lime. I suppose I could buy empty OO caps and make my own capsules and avoid the taste, but that is a chore. We do that with bulk turmeric, which is one of our primary supplements. The cost savings over buying turmeric capsules is significant, but the process is a chore. The bulk supplement packaging is impressive, with zip seal and good sturdy material, but these old beat up hands of mine have a hard time zipping the seal and I've had some powder leak out into the supplement drawer. I've now gone to emptying the powders into shallow wide mouth jars which are easier to open, grab a quarter teaspoon, and seal. That's my old arthritic hands talking, your mileage may vary. All in all, I believe the purity and freshness of these products and the value equal or exceeds the capsule/bottle delivery methods (we always buy premium brands) and I will very likely stick with these. I increased my dosage slightly and have noticed that I am sleeping better, something I attribute to the L-Ornithene. There again, your mileage may vary, but nothing beats a good nights sleep.I haven't taken the supplement long enough to evaluate the results, but if you're reading this, hopefully you're not looking for suggestions on the use of the supplement but rather just how to get the supplement. I can say that I use multiple supplements, and this is a good one. The powder is pure and packaged well. The shipping is good and speedy. There are other companies on Amazon that offer the supplement in similar packaging, but this one is slightly better. Mostly because the ziplock closes a bit better and easier, and the bag is a bit thicker. The sealing is important, you will be in and out of this bag a lot.As far as criticism, I understand the idea behind using the bag. It's so that they can get the supplement to you at the cheapest price. But I usually end up using an empty small tub from another supplement and pouring this one in it. It's just so much easier to screw the lid off the tub then seal this bag up each time. So, I guess I would like to see this supplement in a tub rather than a bag. It may cost a little more to do it that way, but as long as it isn't too much, it would probably be worth it. On the other hand, if you have multiple empty little tubs sitting around, then I guess this criticism is mute. Maybe a small desiccant package in each bag would be wise too.Either way, for a pure supplement in a bag at the cheapest price, this is the way to go.
