I like this product is on my top list for recovery after workoutBlue rasberry tastes like airheads. It definitely does what it's says. It's not bad but it's kinda sour atleast it is to meWas told that it’s good but I never got to see itBsn has done it again love their supplementsThis product isn't bad at all, it's not good either. Thus I gave it a 3. (Update, I can really feel the difference when it's missing from my morning routine. I upgraded it to a four.)First let me start off by saying I've been using Optimum Nutrition Amino Energy for over two years, but recently decided to give this a try since lately I've felt that it wasn't giving me that extra boost during my workout. I ordered this in the Blue Raspberry flavor and to me, it tastes like a sweet tart so no complaints there! Im a female that has been lifting heavy for about 4 years now and currently weigh in at 126 lbs. As far as mid-workout energy goes, HOLY CRAP! I noticed a major increase in strength as soon as I sat down and completed my first set of leg press; it felt like ten pounds?!! Upped a 45 on each side and it still felt like nothing. Craziness. So here's the downside (for me anyways) After about 20 minutes of my workout, I was pretty sure my heart was going to explode. Resting pulse was 160, taken manually by myself (I'm an RN.) I actually dumped out the rest from my shaker bottle and switched to water. I noticed the more I worked out the faster my heart rate got so I called it quits for the day. Bummer. All in all I'd say this product is awesome, I'm just going to need to dial back the scoop size to find a good amount for me where I don't feel like my heart is going to explode! Haha That's where I preferred the Amino Energy from Optimum Nutrition because it gave you a chart on the side to show you how many scoops to use for the type of result you wanted. This stuff just states "one scoop". I'm sure I'll grow to like this stuff just as well once I figure out my scoop size!I like BSN, and this is a great product I plan to continue using. The main reason for three stars is simply not specifying the exact amounts of ingredients contained. What is the BCAA ratio (which is of lesser importance but not even listed)? When adding sodium bicarbonate (aka baking soda which works GREAT), there should be a clear dosage indicated. Source: best5supplements.com "Baking soda possible risks: Baking soda is a salt, so it can cause problems for people who are on a low-sodium diet. If you consume a lot of calcium and/or dairy, be aware that baking soda may increase risks for kidney stones"Well it might be nice to know how much baking soda one is actually ingesting then... There are way too many top supplement companies not disclosing what dosages are in their product blends, and they need to actually list their amounts for safety reasons. What do they just know everything about the human body now? Apparently so, how is a doctor supposed to evaluate safety for their patients when they don't even know what's in a product? It's laughable this product actually says consult with your doctor, even though they won't tell you exactly what they put in it... Oh there's some baking soda, eh? Interesting, might be nice to know the actual amount... I am just amazed that it's legal for these companies to be selling random blends with any amount of ingredients and not even list the actual dosages, absolutely pathetic, shame on these companies and the lack of regulations due to not being evaluated by the FDA.I like this. I’ve tried quite a lot of different amino acid shakes but lots I’ve only tried once and not again. This one I’ve bought more of. I like the taste and don’t find it too overbearing or strong tasting. I often take a double scoop which makes it more intense, but still easy to drink. I use it as an intra workout drink and it suits me fine. I find I rarely get low on energy if I use this one. There’s zero sugar in it and not too much extra ingredients after the BCAAs. When you first mix it with water, it needs a good shake and after that it’s fine. The 70 servings lasts me a good few weeks and I’m a pretty heavy gym user though I do cycle my workout drinks. Although the taste can be subjective, and you might have to try a few flavours to find one you really like, I feel it’s one of the better ones and I’d recommend this.Very dissapointed in this product! Ordered Blue Raz flavour but when the tub arrived it had Green Apple powder inside. The tub even has the Blue Raz label on the tub as you can see from the image but inside is Green Apple which is my least favourite flavour in anything. Gutted as I was looking forward to tasting the Blue Raz as I heard such great reviews.Tastes decent, and I definitely find it keeps me going a bit longer in the gym and reduces soreness. I know there’s a lot of debate in the industry if BCAAs actually do anything but it’s relatively cost effective and pretty refreshing, so it’s not doing any harm!I really like the green apple flavour, it’s sweet and a bit sour but the blue raspberry is tasty too (a bit sweet maybe). Be careful after mixing it because in a glass it will froth over, and in a shaker it will pop the top off! Just keep the lid open and you’ll be fine! The taste is pretty good, I wouldn’t say “AMAZING” but it’s definitely not a bad taste. It has a slight aftertaste of something I couldn’t quite put my finger on but I don’t think anyone buys these products for taste alone. But it does the job and definitely seems to be improving my workouts so no complaints might try fruit punch after I’ve ran dry. ??Open lead was broken, don't have time to send back, waste of money??
