I've used TW Amino Fuel for well over 10 years. It's a mainstay nutritional product in my arsenal. There are a handful of other liquid amino acid supllements out there that I have used, even another one made by Twin Labs, and none of them are in the same class as AF. It's the best liquid amino I'm aware of, and by extention the best amino acid supplement out there as almost all the others I have used are horse pills. If a person is blending those horse pills into a smoothie, that might make them more bioavailable, but large pills don't dissolve well and are made even led bioavailable by taking four of them.If you go back only a few thousand years in human history you discover that to get the balanced high quality protein in TL AF a person would have not only been lucky and well geographically placed, but also would have had to dedicate their entire day to seeking the nutrition you can now pour into a cup of water in a few seconds.Amino acids in large quantities are not well understood, but it is clear that a body in less than optimal health can make use of a lot more amino acids than nutritionists say is necessary to sustain life. The human digestive tract has a hierarchy of absorbtion, giving precedent to certain nutrients you've eaten. Amino acids are absorbed with the highest priority, and also with the highest efficiency, which is instructive to us in understanding their historical rarity and their value to our bodies.Large quantities of amino acids are useful for all types of healing, for rapid detoxification of the brain, detoxification of the body, strengthening tissue and organs, improving all types of performance: mental physical etc, and can be an effective way to lose weight.I could get up and walk to the fridge and find out if it still does, I'm not sure, but the TL AF bottle used to say right on the bottle that it was not intended to be used for weight loss. Of course it was and is a very effective weight loss product as hunger has maybe three primary components: the stretch sensors in the stomach which give us a sense of being full (which are quite quickly reset after a few weeks of not eating as much), thirst for water (I've read 1/2 of hunger pangs are actually the bodies call for more water, and of course water will also make the belly stretch, addressing the first cause of hunger), and lastly, and most importantly hunger arises from the body sending signals that it's not getting enough nutrition, this last factor one which amino acid supplementation certainly is a key factor in correcting.ExcellentIf you need the protein, it's all therein contained. If you want the flavor, it's all there as well. Where it fails for us is in the type of sweetener used in the new version of the product, which departs from the original formula. We feel that its previous version, which came in a silver/gray bottle was a far better and more competitive product. We just couldn't get ourselves to reorder it again after the insipid after-taste it left inour mouths after every time we consumed it. This was due to the sucralose used as sweetener, which has a peculiar after-taste and some peculiar side-effects that did not warrant for our continued consumption. Our decision was based on personal preference and specific research on the effects of long-term consumption of sucralose.I was a big fan of the original Twinlab Orange Rush formula, which included L-Carnitine, inositol, Choline Bitartrate, and natural sugar for taste. I thought I was buying this formula, but instead received the "new and improved" version, which has none of the aforementioned ingredients, and is now sweetened artificially with sucralose (Splenda). Come on Twinlab, really? True, you get a little more whey protein with the new formula (23g versus 15g), but you also have to take 4 tablespoons instead of 3. With supplements, I'm a believer of quality versus quantity, and to me, the old formula was superior. Twinlab is just trying to cut costs by eliminating some costlier ingredients which made the original formula stand out. With the whey protein/egg albumen, b vitamins and energy extras such as L-Carnitine and inositol, it truly was a fuel versus just another whey protein supplement. However, I still give the new formula three stars for the collagen peptides. Its taste almost exactly like old recipe. Was taking this product in the late 80`s. I remembered it so I ordered it. The bottle looks different now and also the coloring of the liquid is different. It was more yellow back then. The flavor is almost exact and this one is less grittier in taste than it use to be. So far so goodWorks awesome. The protein in this is the most easily-absorbed to help you go anabolic after diabolic workouts! Definitely recover faster using this. I use it within 15 minutes of weight training or hard running or races -- and just drink the right amount right out of the bottle (near enough anyway) so that I do not have to try to fiddle around with powders and try to clean shaker bottles etc. and get this in my system in the post-workout time window. Fits in my Gym bag no problem. Definitely will see muscle gains with this stuff -- or just maintain them and recover after running.Excellent product! I buy it regularly! My only complaint is, I prefer the original formula and I don't understand why they felt it necessary to change formulas when the original was spot on!I like TwinLab Amino Fuel, but unfortunately the packaging was so bad I can only give it 3 stars because the cap was broken when I received the bottle. The padded envelope was of little protection.Overall the taste is pretty good. And the more I drank, the more I liked the taste.Probably the best available.Solid brandTastes okBad seller.ordered liquid aminos-got some tablets.dont do my mistakeIt is tough to judge it's authenticity.pre workout of any company or amino fx are more effective , compare to this liquid fuel , its not worthyWay too expensive on Amazon.ca.
